Learn the practical skills to design and build your own Natural Home in 7days.
You will learnona safe, inclusive natural buildingsite in a rural setting, adjacent to the Nenagh river.
Lunchwill be provided each day with food grown from the site’sorganic vegetable garden.
You will learn about site selection and building design, site preparation, tool care and maintenance,
material acquisition, drainage and foundations, understanding soil, natural wall systems, windows, doors,
niches, cob sculpture, built in furniture, basic woodworking, earthen floors, roofing, plasters, paints and
finishes.
Building experienceis not essentialfor this hands on, practical workshop.
Paul Dillonhas been a teacher of natural building for over 15 years, and has taught atthe Cob Cottage
Company,Oregon and the Hollies.
Ken Curranis a dry-stone wall master mason and is a founding member of the Irish Dry Stone Wall
Association. He has taughtstone masonry throughout Europe and North America.
Graeme Hillis a Scottishnatural builder and forester.He has a particular passion for working with
roundwood timber.
