As we prepare for the upcoming Winter season, we really need your help! If you support our vision in teaching others Natural Building and a different way of living, please come show your support and help us out at the School of Natural Building complex in Coquille. As Ianto and Linda get older, without an onsite resident manager and more cob buildings than ever before, we really could use extra help now. Especially if you have construction or fix-it skills, please join us and call to reserve your space.
This is an inexpensive way to visit and learn from us. You can sleep in a cob cottage and be in other cob buildings for long enough to refine your own plan for building or refining your existing house/office/studio. You will come as a priviledged guest, to share our own low impact lifestyle and the daily flow of events. You'll meet interesting people on the same quest. You'll meet people from all over the world, eat gourmet food from our garden and neighbors, enjoy evenings together with fires and music. It's work, but a party too. Your stay can be life-changing, you'll learn a lot.
Work is sometimes in the organic garden, there will be some Natural Building, often in preparing materials from the forest and meadow. We all help cooks with garden to table.
This is a spectacular site with huge trees in a rainforest. There are great views up to the mountain and along our whitewater creek. There is a magical nature walk led by Linda and Ianto, the people who brought cob building to the USA and founders of the North American School of Natural Building here, the FIRST Natural Building school in North America.
If this is your first time to Cob Cottage Company we ask for a $100 donation for the workparty, which can also be applied as a deposit to a future workshop this year. Of course Alumni and returning work party helpers are always welcome at no additional cost!!!
Attendees must commit to a minimum of 3 working days to participate. We'll prioritize those who are able to come for the full 5 days. Meals and camping are included. Hope to see you soon!
